Cloudbridge Nature Reserve

Cloud Bridge Nature Reserve offers some of  the best free-access Cloud forest wandering in Costa Rica. It is a gem with over 600 acres of protected forest adjoining the wilderness of Chirripo National Park and the Amistad International Park, viewed from scenic trails, waterfalls, riparian areas and restored secondary pre-montane forests.  Suitable for hikers of all skill levels with trail  loops ranging from 10 minutes to 4 or 6 hours and from 20 meters to 700 meters in elevation gain.

Cloud Bridge Reserve is dedicated to conservation, education and enjoyment of the pre-montane Cloud Forest.  It is a nonprofit  conservation effort run on the donations of visitors like you. (A small set entry fee is charged on Sundays and holiday weeks).

Cloudbridge is home to over 400 species of vertebrates, including felines, frogs, and fantastic highland birds. The birding here is superb.

Mariposa offers detailed maps of the Cloudbridge hiking trails beginning just 1 km from our door.   Cloudbridge staff also offer guided tours of the area.
